Simon Von Formal Suit Hire - Terms and Conditions of Hire

1. Suit Collection & Return

  • Suits are available for collection between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday on the specified pick-up date (unless arranged otherwise).
  • All hires must be returned by 5:00 PM on the agreed return date unless prior arrangements have been made.

2. Booking & Payment

  • A $30 deposit per suit is required to confirm a booking. This amount is deducted from the total hire cost.
  • The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable in case of cancellation.
  • The full hire cost must be paid on or before collection.
  • A same-day hire surcharge of $50 applies for bookings and collection on the same day.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

  • If a booking is cancelled, the $30 deposit per suit remains non-refundable.
  • Any additional payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded via the original payment method.
  • Once a suit has been collected, it is considered hired, and no refunds will be issued.
  • If you need to cancel, please notify us as early as possible to allow us to manage resources efficiently.

4. Hire Duration & Late Returns

  • Standard hire is for three (3) days, with an option to extend up to five (5) days upon request.
  • An extended hire charge applies for durations exceeding five days—please contact the store for details.
  • A late return fee of $50 per suit per day applies for overdue hires.

5. Suit Care & Liability

  • All hired garments and accessories must be returned in good condition.
  • Any loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear and tear will be charged at retail value.
  • The hirer is responsible for the full recovery cost of unreturned or damaged items, including courier and debt collection fees.
  • Suits must remain in the possession of the hirer until returned to the original hire store.

6.  Fit & Adjustments

  • We recommend trying on all suits before the event to ensure the correct fit.
  • If a suit does not meet your requirements, you must notify the store before use to allow us to rectify any issues.
  • Once a suit is collected, it is deemed hired, regardless of whether it is worn.

7. Special Conditions for Weddings & Group Bookings

  • For wedding party bookings, the groom is considered the primary hirer and is responsible for all hired garments within the group.
  • A valid credit card number is required for security purposes for all new customers and wedding party hires (debit cards are not accepted).

8. General Terms

  • Items cancelled at the time of collection may not necessarily result in a cost reduction.
  • Change of mind or change in circumstances does not qualify for a refund under consumer protection laws; refunds are at the store owner’s discretion.
  • The hirer must inspect all garments upon collection to confirm accuracy and condition.
  • Any damages or required repairs must be reported before returning the suit.
  • Simon Von Shop is not liable for any third-party costs or damages unless negligence is proven.

·       Upon placing your order for Products, you authorize us to charge your credit card for the Rental Fee.  In addition to the Rental Fee, you further authorize us to charge your credit card for any Unreturned Fee, or other damage amounts as set forth below.
